The Saudi National Museum celebrated today Eid al-Adha 1444 AH in the King Abdulaziz Historical Center in Riyadh as a part of the “World is Celebrating” event. The museum offers a number of activities and programs until July 1 to revive the cultural and social heritage related to the traditional reception for Eid al-Adha. During the first day of Eid al-Adha, families and individuals participated in various cultural events and activities, expressing their joy at the joyful practices of Eid al-Adha and engaging in a pleasant atmosphere that strengthens the bonds of love and brotherhood among the families. This is due to the fact that the program reflects the immense joy of the occasion and provides entertainment, pleasure, and cultural knowledge. The first day’s activities included a parade of colorful musicians that brought happiness to the hearts of the visitors. In addition, there are performances, circus shows, “acrobats,” and puppet shows that reflect the Saudi heritage and inheritance through their costumes and stories.
The activities included spiritual physical practices tailored to the event and the various age groups, including children who participated in these activities and events. “The World is Celebrating” event, which takes place from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., is part of the National Museum’s events and initiatives to celebrate religious holidays, preserve and promote associated social practices, and provide visitors with a rich cultural experience.
