Exciting Adventure Awaits Kids at Summer Camp “Human, Animal & Inanimate”

The Saudi National Museum is organizing a summer camp for kids centered around the “Human, Animal & Inanimate” game theme. Exploration of Earth’s interior, natural life, human civilizations, and extraterrestrial life is intended to provide children with an enriching experience. The camp will be held on the following dates and times: July 10–20 and July 24-August 3, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Summer Camp offers an interactive experience for kids aged 9–12 and aims to provide an experience that ignites curiosity, fosters passion, enhances innovative skills, and hones their creative thinking. Moreover, it aims to deepen their understanding of the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The camp will also provide various engaging and entertaining programs to amuse the kids throughout their stay. The National Museum’s summer camp aims to cultivate a passionate and inventive generation by providing interactive learning opportunities. The National Museum has implemented an interactive camp to increase its social impact. Through engaging games and challenges, the camp aims to equip participants with essential skills such as critical thinking, exploration, and effective communication. By emphasizing material and moral impact, the camp seeks to empower young people to contribute positively to society. A camp in Saudi Arabia introduces children to the country’s rich natural and cultural heritage to foster a sense of belonging and appreciation for their homeland. The camp aims to familiarize young campers with the diverse wonders of Saudi Arabia through creative activities.

The children experience four phases on this journey: they learn about stones, extinct animals, galaxies, and language. At first, they set off on an exciting adventure through the Stone Age to discover more about different kinds of stones and how they were used over time. They engage in creative and captivating activities to learn about the evolution of stone usage. Next, they familiarize themselves with animals and plants that have endured throughout history and are showcased in a museum. Additionally, they delve into astronomy, studying stars, meteorites, and astronomical tools like the astrolabe, which has become one of the museum’s most treasured items. The museum’s exhibited artifacts and materials familiarize the children with the history of communication languages, including their origins, development, and alphabets. The Saudi National Museum is a cultural landmark that highlights the heritage of the Kingdom, the human civilizations, and historical events that originated on the Arabian Peninsula in various ways. The museum consists of eight halls, each representing a distinct historical era, in accordance with the historical chronology beginning with the ancient era, moving on to the Islamic era, and concluding with the modern era and the Saudi era. The purpose of the National Museum is to highlight the cultural identity and civilization of the Kingdom by promoting its abundant antiquities and heritage.
