Product: Al-Ula Candle
Made with natural soy wax offering biodegradable, eco-friendly and safe-to-breathe product. The candle consists of essential oil extracts from cardamom and saffron that is prepared by Saudi candle-making specialists, to represent the hospitality of AlUla. The candle holder is made of white clay pottery, covered by translucent protection material and wrapped in natural palm leaf woven by Alula artisans with local embroidery techniques and naturally-derived turmeric and cochineal colors.

Mohamad Baalbaki is a Creative leader and co-founder of The Bold Group, a pioneering local agency in Saudi Arabia. With a background in graphic design, Mohamad's career journey led him to work with multinational companies, where he successfully launched brands and gained extensive experience. In 2012, driven to break the status quo, he co-founded The Bold Group to build a legacy and empower brands through innovative and impactful work.
In addition to his role at The Bold Group, Mohamad co-founded Teeb Saudi, a multidisciplinary design and production company. Teeb embraces culture, art, and passion, drawing inspiration from the rich Arab and Islamic heritage. Collaborating with artists, artisans, and designers, Teeb creates handcrafted pieces that blend tradition with modern aesthetics, aiming to export Saudi culture to the world.
AlJoharah had a BA in English Literature and then pursued her passion for design, earning an MA in Graphic Design & Visual Arts. With over ten years of experience in branding and communication, she has participated in exhibitions and is recognized as one of the top local talents in design and communication. Since 2013, AlJoharah has played a significant role in nurturing talents and leading major brands as a creative director at The Bold Group. Recently, in 2021, she joined the Teeb team as a partner to lead the design department.

It enhances the natural beauty of the wood while delivering a sophisticated, contemporary look.

REJO is a Furniture design studio based in Riyadh, and Istanbul, founded in 2017 by Palestinian architects Reem Olyan and Jumana Qasem. They create unique, colorful, and bold pieces, blending the simplicity of abstract lines and shapes with art. Their creations celebrate culture, beauty, and strength.
Product: Bench 51
A Bench made of the sleeper of the first railway in Saudi Arabia. In 1951, King Abdulaziz Al Saud launched the first rail line to transport crude oil with the help of Aramco. After 70 years, this design came to celebrate the history of the region by reusing the railway wood, preserving its natural effects and cracks left by decades of scorching sun. The designers aim to contribute to sustainability by reuse the wood and create unique products using untreated materials to maintain its original essence.

Albara Saimaldahar brings over a decade of professional design and execution experience to his role as the creative director of Dahr. He started his career as an architect at Skidmore Owings & Merrill LLP in London. Later on, he returned to Jeddah and worked on a number of impactful projects in different capacities and, ultimately, in 2016. AlBara founded Dahr Studio exploring and developing products that have craft elements and architecture with attention to detail and a focus on materials. Saimaldahar oversees the design and execution of various projects on land and offshore, ranging from historic buildings to hospitality.
Daniah Saimaldahar
Daniah Saimaldahar, a graphic design graduate, transitioned her career towards technology by obtaining a master’s degree in digital future from OCAD University. She is now a partner at Dahr. With a focus on future-driven technologies, explores their impact on various aspects of life. Daniah’s expertise lies in digital interaction, and her thesis project reflects her understanding of technology’s role as a catalyst for change. She is dedicated to enhancing digital interactions and improving user experiences through innovative approaches.
Product: Qaws
A versatile piece that adapts to the user’s needs. Qaws can be a seat, a coffee table, or shelves when stacked. The modular design resembles a puzzle, allowing for limitless configurations. It honors the transformative nature of Islamic arches founded in the negative space. Made form reclaimed and locally sourced materials of trees that grew on the streets of Jeddah. Each piece has a unique story. Available in Teak, Beech, Mahogany, and Oak Wood.

The Dina gaming table was designed to modernize the spirit of traditional carrom tables. The modern shape, functionality of this design and its fun nature makes it appealing to the players. The table integrate gaming with contemporary furniture resulting in a bold, intriguing look that successfully represents tradition and modern.

Architect and Product designer graduated from Petra University-College of Art and Architecture. She worked in Jordan for about 1 year, then moved back to Saudi Arabia and started working on Architectural projects along with furniture design and home accessories. Through her designs, she merges tradition and modernity creating products that are a combination of the East and the West using handmade craft. Her work inherits contemporary aesthetics using cultural heritage. She aspires to create a model for how design can trigger social change.

Product: Concept 12 - Ballot
The product draws inspiration from Alula’s signature flora and the landscapes in which it thrives. The texture of the Frakke wooden casing is carved with patterns inspired by the movement of Alula’s golden sands. The stones speak to the materiality of its monumental rocks. The perfumes are scented with the timeless scents of Moringa Flora. Together, these elements of landscape and life capture the essence of Alula.
