About The Initiative

Work and Learn is an initiative of the Theater and Performing Arts Commission with the support of the Ministry of Culture (MOC). It is an initiative that aims to support and develop talents by integrating trainees with experience in multiple technical theater professions with advanced and global experts in the field. The Initiative also aims to improve practitioners' abilities so that their skills become an integral part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's talent and capability supply in the field of theater and performing arts.

This Initiative is divided into:

The Local Track

It aims to integrate trainees with expertise in various theater areas with outstanding local, or global, performances, either through the Theater and Performing Arts Commission or authorized entities.

The International Track

It aims to send a number of trainees with expertise in various theater areas to train on the job by collaborating with international production companies in different countries.

Objectives

Develop local talents by integrating them with global expertise.

Learn about advanced and global technologies by working on art performances that use modern technologies.

Enable trainees to acquire the modern skills required by the labor market in the areas of theater and performing arts.

Additional Information

Terms and Conditions

  • - The applicant must be a Saudi national or Saudi's women son/daughter.
  • - Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • - All registration applications shall be subject to review and approval, to ensure that they meet the set standards.
  • - If required, the Theater and Performing Arts Commission has the right to request further information to verify the participant's data or his participation details.
  • - If the information provided is proven to be incorrect in any way, the applicant shall be disqualified.
  • - The applicant has successfully passed the nomination process and is accepted for participation.
  • - Fluency in English (when needed or required).
  • - The participant shall be vaccinated against Covid-19 and comply with the latest requirements adopted by the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • - Approve photography and video recording for the purpose of documentation and advertising.
  • - Adhere to all the training program requirments, including tasks, training, duties, and activities.
  • - Commitment to the full hours and days of training and attending the program at least 15 minutes in advance.
  • - Applicants must have previous experience in theater areas.
  • - Adhere to the rules of conduct and public taste.
  • - The Theater and Performing Arts Commission shall not bear the costs of travel, accommodation and any other costs if the participant is admitted to a training program not in his current city of residence.
  • - The Theater and Performing Arts Commission shall reserve the right to cancel, extend or make any amendments to the program or its terms and conditions with the consent of its organizers without prior notice.
  • - The Theater and Performing Arts Commission will publish any changes on the official website and through its official social media accounts.
  • - The participant acknowledges that he/she has reviewed and agreed to the terms and conditions of the program prior to participation, and that the application to the program is considered an acknowledgment of acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

    Is there a certificate of participation when attending this program?

  • Yes, there is a certificate of participation provided by the Theater and Performing Arts Commission.
  • Is participation practical or theoretical?

  • Participation will be practical in the theater areas.
  • Are trainees required to be residents of the same city?

  • No, the program includes beneficiaries from any Saudi city who meet the conditions mentioned above, provided that the Theater and Performing Arts Commission shall not bear any expenses for travel, accommodation, etc.
