Taif University Hackathon Enhances AI Solutions for Roses and Aromatic Plants

Taif University organized a hackathon as part of the accompanying events of the second edition of the Global Forum for Roses and Aromatic Plants, with the participation of 46 teams of male and female innovators, as part of efforts to promote innovation and employ modern technologies in the fields of agriculture and natural resources. The hackathon witnessed scientific competition to present innovative solutions and projects that contribute to the development of the agricultural and tourism sectors, enhancing sustainability and improving production efficiency. The participating teams focused on three main themes, including the application of artificial intelligence in improving methods of cultivating roses and aromatic plants, genetic engineering to develop high-quality plant varieties, and therapeutic tourism initiatives aimed at highlighting Taif as a leading destination in this field. The organization of the hackathon comes as part of Taif University’s efforts to support an innovation-friendly environment and empower young talents to provide qualitative solutions that contribute to the development of vital sectors and strengthen the governorate’s position in agriculture and modern technologies.
