An autodidact, he based his first artistic experimentations on extensive research about sculpture techniques by reading research papers, books, and videos. His most important sources of inspiration are natural features such as mountains and natural rocks, along with the sculptures by the artist Abdullah Al-Abd Al-Latif -may God have mercy on him- in his city of Dawadami. In his view, the sculpture is a source of pride.
