The Competition Calligraphy

    Naskh

  • This beautiful calligraphy has many descriptions and names; some called it Al-Badi', others called it Al-Madwar, and it is considered one of the clearest and easiest Arabic scripts to read.
  • Reqah

  • It is one of the oldest Arabic fonts and is distinguished by ease of learning and writing speed due to the shortness of its letters and the smoothness of its edges. This calligraphy is used for writing on a patch of leather, and that is why it was called Reqah.
  • Thuluth

  • For the most spectacular and luxurious calligraphy, the user must have high accuracy and engineering skills to write with it. For the pen, it should be a triangular pen.
  • The "Thuluth AlJali" branches from this calligraphy, but it tends to be stronger and larger than the regular Thuluth.
  • Diwani

  • This type is generated from the Reqah calligraphy. It is characterized by its gracefulness and the shapes of its interlaced round letters, which sometimes resemble the moon.
  • The "Diwani AlJali" branches from it, but it has decorations to fill the spaces between the letters.
  • Kufi AlMuraba

  • You will know the "Kufi AlMuraba" calligraphy when you see it because of its straight and sharp angles, and its letters’ lack of curves, which make it appear as a painting with geometric lines of equal thickness and distances.
  • Kufi Fatimi

  • The letters’ shapes of this type of calligraphy are geometrically defined. It is also characterized by repeated words on all sides and directions until it occupies the space.
