About us
The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission plans to carry on the writing retreat programs from previous years and introduce new initiatives in 2024. These initiatives aim to promote literature and culture through international and local retreats and residencies. The commission will also welcome writers from around the globe to help them enhance their skills in isolated and inspiring settings and exchange experience with writers from diverse local, Arab, and international cultures.

Registration Terms
In Writing Retreats
Participants
- The candidate must have at least one literary publication
- The type of the candidate's literary writing must be appropriate to the identity of the retreat
- The candidate must be working on a literary work during participation
- The candidate must fulfill all participation requirements
- The candidate must not participate more than once in the same year
Guides
- The candidate must have at least 3 literary publications or an equivalent output in their literary production (articles, studies, etc.)
- The type of the candidate's literary writing must be appropriate to the identity of the retreat
- The candidate must have previously participated in literary events (speaker or trainer)
- The candidate must fulfill all participation requirements
- The candidate must not participate more than once in the same year
