Qemam International Festival for Mountain Performance Arts
To showcase and celebrate local and international heritage and mountain performing arts, the Theater and Performing Arts Commission presents: “Qemam International Festival for Mountain Performance Arts.” The festival’s locations will showcase various shows of mountain performing arts by groups from 14 participating countries in addition to local folk groups from different regions of Saudi Arabia. There will be many engaging activities and events such as: live performance platforms, craftsman shops, fashion stores, live cooking shows, and kids’ activities. The festival will also host seminars lead by elite local and international guest speakers as part of its diverse cultural program.
Festival Objectives
The Qimam Festival aims to develop the performing arts and quality works in the theater sector, through:
Introducing local and international authentic heritage and mountain performing arts.
Creating awareness of the sector of theater and performing arts.
Promoting international cultural communication.
Creating job opportunities in the theater and performing arts sector.
Activating cultural tourism in the various seasons in Aseer region.
Promoting the performing arts in Saudi Arabia.

The locations of the festival will showcase more than 30 shows of local and international mountain performing arts, representing different cultures and reflecting the diversity and richness of their different countries and regions.
