General provisions

    General Provisions:

  • 1. These terms and conditions apply for participation in the Fashion Incubation Program, through the program website; you agree to abide by it.
  • 2. The content is consistent with the general orientation of the program.
  • 3. The presented content does not contradict the program’s orientation, principles of Islamic law, and public morals.
  • 4. The Ministry of Culture has the right to cancel some challenges in any activity of the program in the absence of high-quality nominations.
  • 5. The candidate is committed to utmost credibility in all stages of the program and is committed to attend and complete all stages.
  • 6. The candidate has the right to withdraw from the program at any stage prior to the announcement of the names of the final participants or winners, provided that an email is sent to the program management team at ACE@moc.gov.sa
  • 7. The Ministry of Culture publishes the information it deems appropriate for the candidates, and everything related to the program on its website and its social media accounts.
  • 8. At any stage of the program, the Ministry of Culture and/or the website reserves the right to exclude any participation that does not comply with the terms and conditions, evaluation criteria, or the general direction of the initiative or for any other reason that the Ministry of Culture believes that it has the right to be excluded therein. The Ministry of Culture reserves the right to cancel or amend the program without prior notice, and the candidate has no right to object.
  • 9. The candidate must adhere to utmost credibility in all stages of the program, and must also commit to attending (if necessary) and complete all stages of the program personally, as no person is allowed to represent him at any stage of the program, except with the official approval of the Ministry.
  • 10. The Ministry of Culture reserves the right to change the terms and conditions from time to time. Accordingly, the candidate must review these terms and conditions on a daily basis, and the Ministry of Culture is not obligated to announce any changes that have been made to the terms and conditions.
  • Eligibility Conditions:

  • 1. The candidate must be 18 years old or older.
  • 2. The personal information provided by the candidate is complete and correct.
  • 3. The candidate must be a Saudi national or legally residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • 44. The candidate must possess all public rights and intellectual property rights related to the submitted work, or partial ownership that gives him the right to submit with the consent of the rest of the parties, proof of ownership documents.
  • 5. The candidate must adhere to the start and end dates of the specified period for submitting one or more of the program’s activities.
  • Intellectual Property:

  • 1. The Ministry of Culture will keep the detailed files attached to the various activities of the program.
  • 2. Participants agree that the Ministry of Culture or any third party authorized by the Ministry of Culture to publish the works presented on the ministry’s website or in any other media format such as: photography, advertising campaigns, and using the winning entries and the names of the winners in all available advertising media.
  • 3. Participation in all its details, as well as any other information that the candidate submits to the program, must be personal and specifically owned by him/her. The candidate here declares that all the information provided by him/her to the program does not violate intellectual property rights, copyrights, privacy or other rights to any third parties, and it does not include abuse, infringement, slander, threat, contempt, or other prohibitions. The Ministry of Culture reserves the right to refuse to publish or exclude the participation and to refer to the candidate for any harm to the program.
  • 4. The Ministry of Culture does not assume any intellectual property rights claimed by the participant, and the Ministry does not bear any legal responsibility related to intellectual property for the material uploaded to the program’s page, which may constitute a violation of registered property rights.
  • Legal Responsibility:

  • 1. Participation must not violate any local or international rights, regulations, laws or provisions, or encourage in any way the violation of those rights, laws and provisions.
  • 2. These terms and conditions are subject to the regulations applied in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The competent judicial authorities in the city of Riyadh consider any dispute that arises because of joining the program.
  • 3. In the event of a dispute over the participation’s intellectual property or any other disagreement, the candidate disclaims the Ministry of Culture's responsibility for any liability for any material losses or any damage or any psychological damages that result from this, and the candidate alone bears full responsibility for this violation and breach issued. The Ministry and/or the site has the right to exclude the violating candidate.
  • 4. The Ministry of Culture indemnifies or holds harmless any responsibility for any material or moral damages incurred by the candidate as a result of participating in the program.
  • 5. The Ministry of Culture indemnifies or holds harmless any responsibility if wrong or inaccurate information resulting from human errors or technical failures, such as loss or delay in transferring or deleting data, or malfunctions in the telephone line, computer, network, computer accessories, programs or any other reasons may impede entry to the site, and the candidate must always seek to present the materials correctly and properly.
  • 6. By using the program’s website, the candidate acknowledges the right of the Ministry of Culture to ask to provide more information or supporting documents for participation to verify its credibility.
  • 77. The candidate must have the absolute power to agree to the terms and conditions, and he must fulfill any rights of a third party and he shall be solely responsible for any breach of this clause.
  • 8. The final jury will evaluate the qualified entries based on the criteria for selecting the winners and can communicate with the nominees if necessary.
  • 9. The Ministry of Culture is not responsible for all legal procedures for violating any laws that the candidate may have violated before the official authorities.

Participation Instructions

    All of the activities will be conducted online; however, physical space will be provided for participants with deskspace and internet connection if possible.

  • 1- The applicant must be a practitioner, early entrepreneur, or freelancer with no less than two years of experience.
  • 2- The applicant must have a clear presentation of a product/service/brand.
  • 3- The applicant's offering is preferred to be unique with a differentiated competitive advantage such as an intellectual property advantage.
  • 4- It is preferred that the applicant submits a business model with a clear and promising target market size and potential revenue.

FAQ – Bootcamp

    What is The Fashion Incubation program?

  • The Fashion Incubation program aims to: attract and empower Saudi fashion talents; support entrepreneurs in pursuing their fashion journey; equip talents with invaluable knowledge, and enable them to become renowned in local, regional and international markets.
  • The program is comprised of three phases:

  • Hackathon: A three-day virtual event that aims to solve the complex challenges facing the fashion industry in a unique environment, encouraging groups of participants to think creatively to develop innovative new ideas and concepts.
  • Bootcamp: A five-day intensive virtual event centered around experiential learning. Participants will conduct a deep dive into the fashion industry and explore practical business tools. Attendees of the Bootcamp will also benefit from benchmarking, networking, and exposure to world-class-fashion expertise.
  • Incubator: An extensive five-month physical incubator program that nurtures start-ups through the early phases of their projects and provides continuous mentorship that walks them through customer discovery, product development and prototyping, and business planning. The program will support entrepreneurs in laying the foundations for their ventures, by helping develop Minimum Viable Products and providing access to funding mechanisms.
  • Who is responsible for The Fashion Incubation Program?

  • The Fashion Incubation Program is organized by the Ministry of Culture. This year’s program is a pilot sponsored by the Vision 2030 Quality of Life program.
  • Where will the Bootcamp take place?

  • The Bootcamp will take place virtually.
  • Do I have to pay for the Bootcamp?

  • No, attendance is free.
  • Who can apply for the Bootcamp?

  • Applicants must be either a practitioner, early entrepreneur, or freelancer with no less than two years’ experience.
  • The applicant must have a clear presentation of a product/service/brand.
  • The applicant's offering is preferred to be unique with a differentiated competitive advantage such as an intellectual property advantage.

  • The program targets the fashion industry and related industries such as jewelry, accessories, and footwear.
  • Is the program only for fashion designers?

  • No. The program supports designers and any fashion-related businesses.
  • What are the benefits of applying to the program?

  • Are there any age restrictions?

  • You must be 18 or over to apply.
  • Is the program only open to women?

  • No, the program is open to men and women.

  • The program is open to all nationals and residents of Saudi Arabia.
  • Do I need to submit the application in Arabic?

  • The application can be submitted in Arabic or English.
  • How do I submit my business idea?

  • Your business idea may be presented in a pitch deck/presentation. Please see the attached template for reference.
  • I don't have a complete business idea, can I still apply?

  • Business ideas should be presented in the template provided where they will be evaluated alongside any supporting documents.
  • What if I miss the deadline?

  • Applications cannot be submitted once the application period has ended.
